Network bugs: First off, this app is fine. This is about the "Home" ecosystem. I've liked the integration of the devices/services but there are a few things that are lacking (critical function and aesthetics). The mesh network rarely works. Sometimes the Wi-Fi works and the voice services do not; sometimes nothing works. The only fix I've found is a factory reset. I don't care for the display of the Spotify app on the hub, but that might just be me.

This app does some of the bare bones things well like turning on and off lights. But when it comes to understanding the essence of a request it falls far short. The worst thing is that you can't turn off the voice notification when lights turn off, which results in Google yelling at you that it's turned off a light (usually from a speaker in another room). In general, you can't change many features. But, if you want to pay for an internet purchase thru a light bulb I'm sure Google can do it.

When it works, it's great. However getting to that point is torture. Not intuitive. Update - it's about 4 months after my first review and I'm once again frustrated by Chromecast. It works great, then without warning goes offline and it is a confusing and frustrating task to try to get it working again. It's been out since last night and nothing I do gets it working - unplugging everything/TV, router, Chromecast and resetting them all. TV is telling me "Get the app" which is already on my phone

We’re sorry to hear about this, Margie. Try clearing the cache and cookies of the Google Home app, then reinstalling it. Rebooting your router and devices for two minutes might help. Also, make sure that your phone and apps are up-to-date. For more assistance, feel free to reach out to us here: https://goo.gle/3ie15Ae
