Audify is the best of this type of app available. It's outstanding, I use it constantly, it works perfectly. I recently had an issue with my Bluetooth hearing aids not turning on quickly enough to relay short notifications. Even though it wasn't an Audify problem, the developers took the time to analyse what was happening and provided a solution. Great support!

Motorola has an app on my phone that tries to do this (Moto Voice) but it never worked. I thought it was a good idea though so I found this app and it works great 👍 reads texts anytime I am driving (using car Bluetooth) or using headphones. The trial is very generous, just disable reading notifications for all apps besides messages (or w/e you use) and then the free 20 notifications are plenty..

Pretty easy to use but missing a feature I would like. Under notification settings there is an option for "Privacy Mode" which will speak the title and skip content. I need the opposite. In my example I have a Smartthings routine and instead of just hearing, "The Garage Door is closed" I get, "Samsung says, garage door closed - home, the garage door is closed." If the needed feature was added, I'd move this up to a 5 star rating.
