Android Giveaway of the Day - Lunar Tabs

Guitar tab files have been around for years, allowing aspiring artists to learn to play their favorite songs. However for the 285 million people worldwide with low vision, these tabs have been of limited use -- until now.

Lunar Tabs is the first guitar tab reader designed with accessibility in mind. Download a guitar tab file from online databases like guitarprotabs.org, open it with Lunar Tabs and learn to play one of the millions of songs available online.

Lunar Tabs works by taking a guitar tab file and generating a sequence of text instructions for playing the piece. These instructions are then fed into your screen reader. From there, you can navigate the tab file, have instructions
read aloud, and even play audio samples.

You can navigate Lunar Tabs using your Android's built-in TalkBack (Explore by Touch). Lunar Tabs is compatible with most .GP3-5 (guitar pro) and .PTB (power tab) formats.

You can choose to have audio instructions given in two modes: String/Fret, where individual finger positions are read aloud, or Note/Chord, for advanced musicians familiar with chord nomenclature.

Additionally, there is a hands free mode (a.k.a. "Stomp Mode") that allows you to control Lunar Tabs with accelerometer vibration. There are also two song scanning control options: Measure Selection and Intelligent Segmentation.

Spanish language support is also provided by Lunar Tabs. Just have your phone's language set to Spanish, and the app should load in Spanish automatically.
